Art Show! "Tiny Friends" & "Observations and Impressions" Nov. 1 - Nov. 30
DUE TO THE PANDEMIC, IN-PERSON GROUP CLASSES WILL BE POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, except for plein air (outside) classes, which are still available. 6-WEEK CLASSES: Price is for the full six weeks, and includes materials required for class, which will be provided. Payment is due in advance to reserve a spot and secure supplies. 6-Week Classes can have between one and four students. Rescheduling is available in case of emergencies.
In this 6-week class, we will cover the basics of drawing, including equipment, techniques, and studies (such as still life and plein air). The client will come away with a useful and fun skill set, and knowledge to continue on their art journey.
In this 6-week class, we will cover the basics of oil painting, including equipment, techniques, and color. The class will culminate in a completed piece, subject to be chosen by the client. The client will come away with a unique painting, a useful and fun skill set, and knowledge to continue on their art journey.

Online Private Lessons are individually tailored to the client's needs and requirements. Price does not include supplies, and topic arrangements must be made in advance. This is an excellent option for people who are out-of-state, or who need to maintain safe social distancing practices.
En plein air is a French expression meaning “in the open air”, and refers to the act of painting outdoors. Monet, Renoir, Pissarro, Cezanne and Van Gogh were all plein air painters. Our plein air sessions will include instruction and required materials. Locations will vary.
A young artist exhibits his work for the first time., and a well-known critic is in attendance. The critic says to the young artist, "would you like my opinion on your work?" "Yes, " says the artist. "It's worthless," says the critic The artist replies, "I know, but tell me anyway."
Some of the classes may include upcoming field trips scheduled to various art locations and events around the DFW area, such as the DMA, Dallas Arboretum, Amon Carter and the Kimbell. Costs will vary depending on the location and event.
